Keeping In Touch ...

Hi Everyone!

When I first moved back to Winnipeg from Iowa I left each of the kids with journals. The idea was that they would fill the blank pages with updates on their lives or whatever else was rolling around their heads at the time. When the journals were full they could send them to me and I would be able to catch up on whatever was going on in their lives at the time. A lot of the kids started their journals but never did finish them. Sydney was the one who kept up her journal and through her writing I was able to learn more about her and the young woman she was becoming. It was interesting. A while back Sydney sent me a journal along with hers to keep in touch. Like the other kids, I started to write but never finished. Eventually that journal grew legs and I'm not sure where it's wandered off to.

Having said that, as time goes on I wish we would've all kept up with our journals. So much has changed in the kids lives and in my life that I'm feeling very out of the loop with them, as well as with many other friends across the miles. I miss you all. I hope you know that even though you may not hear from me often you're always in my heart and in my thoughts.

In an effort to keep in touch with you all I've decided to take that journal idea and create and online journal/blog. Through it you'll get to peek into my life, my thoughts, and hopefully learn a little bit more about me. I'm not sure that I'll write every day but will try to write when I can, so check back often. Feel free to leave me comments as well. I love hearing from you guys!

Keep in touch!

Joss :)

  1. Hi Joss. This is a marvelous idea! I'm sure you've learned a lot about Sydney and also how some of her grief affected her 'growing up' years. I applaud this effort and look forward to reading more about your life!! HUGS
